Friday night with Friends

The first Friday of the month I sat down and worked on Gail Pan's see my sewing.  I managed to get it finished very late. It has a clear plastic front so you can see what in you bag.

It is now in the machine pile, ready to put together.

Friday Night Sew in and other finishes

Friday night I put the finishing touches to the Stocking embroidery.  Saturday seen me framing them.

These Patterns are pre-printed, uses wool felt and are by Bonnie Sullivan.

Last week was cushion making week or so it seemed.

The Last on is by Fig n Berry  called  A Friend for Christmas, Angus decided he wanted it made into a cushion as we have a lot of wall hanging already.

This is another Fig n Berry bom that is now in the pile for quilting.

February was a busy month,Friday night with friends

With school going back it was time to get the house back into order and get some more ufo's finished.

I have now officially finished all the stitching in Rosalie Quinlan Best Friend forever.  In the near future I will work on the hexi's and put it together.

Next up was to bind this Christmas wall hanging.  It is a Gail Pan design from many years ago.  When I showed Gail she commented on how she made a fabric range out of the stitchery's.

My Hexis have been going for year's so when I came across this layout I knew I had enough and enough of the fabric left for the sashings.  I just need to go and get a final border fabric. (next week).

Lisa from Fig n Berry has released her new mystery Bom for February so I managed to get it done (not going to fall behind)  The A-Z of Christmas block 1

So with a few finishes under my belt I have started another Fig n Berry, A friend for Christmas.  I started this on Friday night so im hoping it will be finished by the end of March.

FNSI

After completing all the things I need to get  done I managed to sit down and work on Rosalie Quinlan Best Friends Forever. ( I have now finished this one).

I only have one more stitchery to go then I have to make all the hexi's.  This project has been on the go for a long time so hopefully over the next few weeks I can get it finished.

In the early hours of Friday morning  I finished my last Twas the Night Before Christmas stitchery by Fig n Berry 2016 (just in time Lisa has released this years).

The pile of things needing to get finished is growing so I need to spend some serious time on the machine over the next few weeks.

Hand sewing and Angus quilt

Over the Christmas holidays Angus started making this quilt using Australian fabric.  He need some help matching up all the seams and last night I finished it for him.

I have been madly hand stitching Twas the night before Christmas,  I have finished another 2 only 1 more to go before I can assemble it.  Lisa (Fig n Berry) has a new  BOM starting February so I was determined to catch up before the next one.

I have enjoyed making this one, there is a lot of stitching  but when you get on a roll you a finished in no time.  Angus picked variegated thread for this one.

Well im off to a school meeting then cubs so dont think I will get to do any sewing tonight.

First Friday Night With Friends

Love been able to sit down and know that I am sewing with like minded friends.

This time I pulled out my hexi's, I put the borders on, now I need to get more basted onto the cream to be able to call it finished ( a long time Ufo).

I have started on another month of Fig n Berry's twas the night before Christmas bom quilt.  I am hoping to get this one finished before the new one starts in February.  2 more to go after this one.

Now that school has gone back, swimming has started, soccer starts next week looks like I will have time for lots of hand sewing and machine sewing projects.

Friday Night Sew In

I have been working of Fig n Berry Bom Twas the night before Christmas from 2016 and I got the 6th one finished.  (3 more to go)

I also managed to get the binding on this Christmas quilt.  (I rang out of time before).

This week I have been having a big clean up and sort out of my material.  Amazing what you find and wonder when you bought it.  I have a plan in my head on how my sewing storage area should look like so lets hope it works out.

I have also been sorting out Angus's bedroom and getting him ready for starting back at school next week.
