Stitching Soiree

Yesterday I attended another sewing day yes 2 in 2 weeks.  This one was run by Lisa from Fig 'n' Berry and Katie from Cottage Garden Threads, and Karen Martin from Mrs Martins was there too.

On arriving we were greeted with this stunning goodie bag.
Here is what was inside.

So many beautiful patterns and kits it's going to take me while to get through this lot.

This is the project that I started on the day.

What's a day without some shopping.
It was a great day catching up with old friend and making new one's.

Stitched in Time for Christmas

On the 4th October Gail Pan and Ramona Hermann organised a great day for us at the Narre Warren East Hall.  New friendships were made, lots of yummy food was eaten, and most of us did some stitching.

Here is our goodie bag that was waiting for us on arrival.
Well I have surprised myself and have finished all the projects in 2 weeks.  Here they are.

Friday night was great I got to finish stitching my Christmas Ornaments that I started the week before at my sewing day.  On Saturday I put them together.  I can see many more being made, loved how they were quick to do and very quick to assemble.

Sewing Day Christmas in July

Last Saturday I attended a sewing day not far from home.  Karen Martin from Mrs Martin's organised a great day for us.  Lisa from Fig 'n' berry creations and Marg Low from Marg Low designs were our designers for the day and boy were we spoiled.
Look at our goodie bags..
We had 3 patterns from each designer.  I choose to start on the Merry Christmas Ornaments by Lisa.

These are the girls that we had on our table, it was a great day.

It was a fantastic day and will be doing it again next year.

Christmas in July Swaps

Friday was the 25th of July so it was time to open my swap.  I waited till Angus came home from school to help me.  I found out opening the last present that Melanie from Pinnylea@blogspost.com.au was my swap partner, and boy did she spoil me.

First up is a beautiful wall hanging with decorations for the tree.  The second picture is a beautiful table runner.  Thank you Melanie for the beautiful gifts.

My swap partner was Melody from the house on the side of the hill and this is what I sent her.
Thank you Cheryl for organising a wonderful swap.

Another swap was on Our Craft Forum  Shez from Enjoying Life was my partner we decided to swap on the Saturaday as we were meeting up at a sewing day.

Once again I was very spoiled with a table runner and some handtowels, I have already picked the spot at christmas time for these goodies to go on display.  Shez also gave Angus a gift,  books he was very excited and  we read them that night.

My gift to Shez. A Gail Pan stitchery, A Christmas bag, mm's and a chocolate christmas tree.

I'm Back

The start of the year I decided to return to study to do my Aged Care Course.  I found the homwork, placement and schools days took away a lot of time from my crafting.  I have now finished so now it's time to get back into sewing.

Some finishes this week are.

Some baby rugs, with 2 babies coming into the family later this year I had none in reserve.
A Merry Little Christmas table runner by Leanne's House, this was a sewing project from a sewing day, anther UFo finished.

I have also a couple of Christmas in July swaps so I will be back to show you them over the weekend.

Friday night sewing

Last night I sat at my machine and whipped up these little numbers.  The first one took me over a hour and then the second one well under a hour.  They are so easy and quick.  I'm hoping for some little girls to come along soon.

Valentine's Day Swap from Simone

These are the beautiful gifts that Simone sent me in our swap.

Simone also made Angus a library bag (one was on my list for this weekend to make).  The material is dot to dot so hes having a great time doing it.  I'm sure no one is going to have the same one at school on Monday.
Thank you Simone for all your goodies, we love them all.

Valentine's Day Swap

My first swap for the year.  Anorina over at Samelia's Mum had a Valentine's Day Swap.  Simone was my partner, having found out a bit about her and her girls I decided to make a few things for her to share the love.

This is what I sent her
A close up of the cushion.  I have never made a cushion before loved how this turned out.

The back.

Friday night sewing

Last night I join in Friday night with Friends, I managed to finish sewing in the ends of a white baby blanket. I have a few friends having babies this year so I thought I better get busy knitting.

This one is in 12ply loved the diamond pattern.

Next was to sew some of the main hexi's for Rosalie Quinlan Best Friends Forever, I have some of the hand sewn blocks done so I need to get a lot of these ones put together to work on the layout.
I also traced off a stitchery for a swap that I am doing, pictures to come later.

All in all a good night looking forward to the next one.
